News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

The video game was released today. I plan on getting it just because I'm a big MH fan and don't care about the quality of the game (though a decently crafted one is a plus). I would have gotten it today but other, better titles take priority (Uncharted 3 does come out next week after all). If anyone has played the game, what are your thoughts? Would a lover of the webisodes be pleased? What are the differences between the Wii and DS versions?

I wanna know how it is too since I probably can't get it for a while.....
Going to get it right now for DS and Wii.. I didnt bring my Wii up to school only my DS so I can only tell you how DS is later. :/
The Wii one was about 40$ at TRU. There are always exceptions to the price tag rule. Deadly Premonition was a budget title for the 360 that only cost $20 and is one of my favorite games. Flawed, yes, but fun and the story was rather good and a wonderful shoutout to Twin Peaks. My expectations for this game are already quite low, so don't worry about that.

I know you want impressions, but though I bought it today for the same reasons you mentioned, the price tag was a turn off. Meaning, that generally games that are brand new for $30.00 or less tend not to be that great. So, I'm really not expecting much. Not that I wanted to pay $50.00-$60.00 for it or anything, I'm just saying you get what you pay for. If I let my kids play it I'll pop back on with impressions, but I may make them wait until Christmas for this, so we'll see.
I've seen her in the commercials and she was stated to be so by another gaming site.

Hey is opperetta in it???
Me put away the ds version in the backroom at me work.... me looked at the back an was kinda "meh" on the graphics.

I'm gonna go pick it up when my Dad comes back from the gym. I can't wait!

I think it'll be  great game, worth the price, and I think we'll find out which were-twin is which. Operetta was supposed to be revealed, but I guess they released early. Maybe they actually meant someone else, like Scarah? Or Robecca, Rochelle, or Venus?

I'm playing on DS and Spectra, Abbey, AND Operetta are in the game!!! :)

Like most DS games, the game is missions and stuff. I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of customization options for your character. (Really two outfits?? Really three hairstyles?) But, overall it's a fun game.

I bet it's pretty different than the Wii one, as most DS games are different from their large console version.
To be honest I'm predicting that the Wii one gives you more options and its probably easier to navigate around the Wii version.

Even just from seeing preview pics (and obviously keeping in mind the general difference between Wii and any large console's graphics in comparison to a small handheld gaming system like the DS) I know I'm going to be floored by the difference between the graphics.

All grievances aside, it's a fun game, it takes time, but it's a fun game.. :)

Playing the DS version now, the graphics in game are a bit better than those pictured on the back of the box thankfully; it's a bit tedious running around everywhere but it is a fun little game, good for killing time.  Though I do agree with FrankieLauraBlue, the lack of customization is disappointing.  Jury is still out on whether I purchase the Wii version....
Webisode content was the factor into why I'm interested. If the writing is just as entertaining, that'll be enough for me.

Okay, I won't worry! :)

I've found a few games I've loved with lower prices too, but something about this game makes me think this ain't one of them. But who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to seeing the webisode content.

I heard about it I order 1 I'm in the philipines I will get the game from my auntie in october 28 I saw a new trailer in this video
I have the one for the Wii, the graphics aren't that great and you don't have a lot of choice when creating a monster but other then that its pretty fun. I created a gorgon monster and she only has two outfits. They all have only two outfits. And they aren't even different or reprint their, which is disappointing. I also didn't like all of the tasks they have you doing. First I have to help Clawdeen, then I need to get something from Lagoona for Clawdeen, but she wants me to do something for her and while doing things for everyone, I never even finished my original task with Clawdeen, heck I haven't finished any tasks! If they make another game, which I hope they do, I want it to have better graphics and more choice when customizing characters.
