So I never really intended to become a collector of monster high dolls.
I just happened to see a Rochelle Goyle doll at target and thought it was adorable. I later bought one on ebay and I was infatuated.I wanted to buy her different outfits so I then bought an Abbey Bominable that came with a few different outfits. Eventually I was hooked and needless to say I fell in love with monster high and have my own little collection started.I grew up playing with dolls. I played with Barbies till I was 13, so I really do have an appreciation for them. I'm a pretty casual collector. I've only bought the dolls that I have based purely on aesthetic. I'm not crazy about all of them.
As of 10/19/2012 I own:
(in order of purchase)
-Rochelle Goyle (basic)
-Abbey Bominable (I ♥ Fashion)
-Venus McFlytrap (basic)
-Draculaura (killer style)
-C.A. Cupid (basic)
-Design Lab doll
-Mystical add on for design lab
-CAM Werewolf and Dragon
-Purrsephone and Meowlody
I'm so excited about them. Of course I take my dolls out of the box and fix their hair and change their outfits. (yeah I'm 20 and still like to change the clothes of my dolls from time to time) I'll eventually be posting lots of pictures of my collection. I want to add more to it but I'm really picky with the dolls that I buy. For now I've been trying to keep myself away from walmart and target because I can't help myself not to look at the monster high aisle every time I go in.
I came on here to maybe find some people around my age that are into monster high as well. Most of my friends think I'm a weirdo but whatever. If straight guys are allowed to proudly display their action figures and bobble heads then I'm sure as hell going to flaunt my dolls. I just think they're awesome and I'm so jealous they weren't around when I was young enough to actually play with them.
