thank you Julia!!! I'm regular amzon shopper  but obviously missed that sale today!!! I saw their market place is selling them for about $40 e/a so I believe Amazon will re-stock tham again! This is soo great! My daughter asks me everyday"when will I get the dolls mama?" Really thank you!!

hey dragona - Venus and Robecca were apparently on amazon for $20 each this morning, sold out now but once they start getting them they'll get them again on and off for a while. You should keep checking for them - I know I will!

Hi denise! It is so true about the bonding time - we would be having a lot less of it here if she had gotten into, well, pretty much any other doll line. But since we both love MH we spend time on it together and work on projects and stuff.

Wow, lilshorty - so lucky! We have 1 target, 1 very poorly stocked Kmart, and 2 TRUs that are way more expensive that other TRU and are scoured by scalpers. And getting to any other stores is expensive and time-consuming.

I really just feel like basic kid's toys shouldn't be such WORK. I've always hated the weird Xmas crazes, but those at least seem to happen somewhat naturally, but this is being planned by Mattel this way.

totally underwhelmed by today's reveal, too. She's really pretty but that Scaris line is insanely huge and I'd rather have more characters that actually go to Monster High.

My city has an over-abundance of stores.  It's just a matter of getting there at the right time.  I have 2 TRU, 7 WalMart Supercenters, 4 Targets, and 3 Kmarts.  Let me know if there's anything I can help you with.  I visited TRU on Thurs, the day they get their stock, and found all the GR, I Love Fashion Frankie, and Cupid!  I had no idea that Cupid was no longer a WM exclusive.

Julia - I feel your pain about the exclusives! I only have 1 KMart within a 30 minute radius and it's in an area I normally avoid. My area has abundant Walmart stores and I still can't find dolls there. The one and only time I found a doll (Cupid) at Walmart, I had to be there at 2am, unload a pallet, open the box and then reload the pallet. It was only days before Christmas and I was desperate - life doesn't normally allow me to go to such lengths to find a doll. The Walmart & KMart exclusives have me really bummed out :/ I wish more of us lived close together so we could, at least, help each other out with doll hunting.

So is anyone else feeling the non-love right now? The list of exclusives just keeps piling up, and as a mom I am feeling completely aggravated. If variations were the exclusives, that would be one thing, but when basics are totally hard to find? Beyond frustrating. Mattel is acting like these are $200 Tonner dolls or something, not children's toys. So far we've managed to get all basics w/ help from friends and family, but it really shouldn't be so much work!!

I'm just waiting for todays announcement to be for a whole set of basics, exclusive to Wal-Mart of course (because we don't have WM here). Feeling so over it right now.

sigh....

We found the Scooter set a couple days ago - I love it, although my Ghoulia's hair wasn't styled at all (I'll be fixing that up soon). Sir Hoots-a-lot is so cute! I'm the Ghoulia collector so it's actually my set; we're sharing the scooter for now (the godparents got it for my daughter already, actually!)

I was surprised at how much I liked the Draculaura bathroom set -- we didn't pick it up but we may have to get one eventually!

And I totally agree - I can't see them putting an expensive CGI special up online for free when they have a contract with Nick. ALSO I agree that it's crazy they haven't put the series out on DVD. I made DVDs of everything so far myself, so I don't mind, but it's still nuts.

Well, I just scored the CAM Vamp/Gargoyle set for my little girl. Prepping for X-mas, I also ordered her a Rochelle (had found 1 earlier, but had her give it to her best friend for her B-day. Have not had any luck finding another one since).

When I have found them, no $ to buy.
