News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

I'm just curious, since after school I have WAY to much free time and sitting on the computer for three hours strait isn't exactly healthy. I'd really like to make something productive. I've been yearning to try making DIY lip balm. But after than what do I do? I could really use some suggestions

We have the monthly theme, and some folks build rooms for their dolls, furniture could also be made. What are you looking for?

My Daughter is trying to figure out how to make stylish furniture that can stash MH gear.

I'm so glad you asked that! I just got a nerf gun on sale at Target that I'm going to steampunk up. I have been seeing this online for awhile know and had been dying to try it out.

I used to make rooms for my dolls, but mom and dad got rid of em

My daughter has a few empty shelves that she is allowed decorate. I only have her get rid of the ones that have gotten destroyed from her not taking care of them.

Queen AD: I came up with an idea for a sewn 'bean bag' (the newer kind with a bit of definition to them) for MH dolls. I have to get the dimentions figured out though. I will work on it Monday, hopefully I can have something drawn up and posted by Tuesday and we can all give it a whirl for showing off our MH creations.

I could seriously use that since im such a fail at sewing

I suggested it as a practice project for learning to sew. I am still working on the pattern, I have the measurements but have not gotten them on the pattern yet.

Okay, I went looking through my daughter's stuff (while helping her clean her room) this week and found this that I made for her out of a styrofoam packing piece for some electronics. I used to make lots of stuff like this when I was a kid. Aside from the styrofoam the supplies needed are: a small scrap of fabric (duck tape could be used here), metal head pins, and a marker to make the marbling effect.

Heres the pics.

I also recently started on using duct tape with assorted small boxes to make trunks & suitcases. The pic of Abbey below has her sitting on the trunk. The trunk itself is still a work in progress.
