News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

Hi guys and ghouls,

I picked up this set today and would love to trade it away to a good home where these dolls can be loved and appreciated. I do not want to sell I would much prefer to trade. I really have no idea what I should trade them for, but I will hear all offers either on here or through PM.

I would most likely either trade the whole set for 1 rare doll, or 2 regular not hard to find dolls, or 3 basic (15 dollar type) dolls. I want the trade to be as fair and equal as possible. OR I would maybe trade them for some kind of set with a doll or some of the harder to find furniture like Frankie's bed, Draculaura's bed, etc. I am not sure what the retail of that was when it came out, but if you have anything very rare or expensive to trade then surely I can add additional dolls on my end to our trade so everything is fair and even :)

Check my profile for positive feedback. Thanks for looking :)

I Have wave 1 Ghoulia & Basic Jackson

PM me please let's make a deal :)

Just messaged your inbox

My daughter would LOVE this set and i have a ton of dolls/furniture new in the box. If you weren't able to make a deal with Fright Night, let me know!

A little shocked that people would trade expensive rare dolls for a 3 pack that has showed up on TRU website already, just have to get it before its out of stock.  It will be in stock eventually as well in their stores.  Patience is a virtue!

I can only speak for myself, but I have a small child who doesn't quite grasp "patience". I also have a good 50 NIB dolls on hand that have already been paid for - so why pay for another one when my daughter only wants to play with the dolls anyway? She doesn't care if they are new or rare or whatever... She just knows she's seen them online for months and waaaaaaaants them. To me, a trade makes more sense waiting or making guesses or commentary about the motivation of someone you don't even know. Just saying. :-)

I have an a werecat fearleading pack if you still want to trade. I sent you a FR and PM if you are interested.

In response to "why would someone trade a rare doll for this," this set is very hard to find in some areas. Not all areas have a Toys R US and if they do it might be out of stock. Also, the TRU website does *not* ship to all countries. Some countries do not even have TRU. Therefore, the only way for a person to get this in a country without a TRU would either be a crazy scalper price on ebay or reasonable trade on here. Plus, if you paid retail price for a doll, even if it was rare, remember that "rare" dolls were once 19.99 on shelves. Plus, sometimes people are able to randomly stumble across a "rare" doll that was returned or hiding somewhere for retail price, but they may already have that doll and would rather trade it for something they don't have. Or it is a character they are not a fan of.

These dolls are very hard to find and I considered keeping them - but personally I am not a *huge* Werecat fan and would rather they go to a home where they would be loved and appreciated by a true Torelai fan and this way I can get a doll that is a character I enjoy that I can love and appreciate. Win win for everyone.

I have had a lot of luck finding the Older HTF rare doll internationally. They sho up on the shelf at retail. They can't get Catrine, Werecats a lot of other new dolls. It takes a year or more sometimes not at all! Yes asking for 3 rare dolls for the pack is insanity! Asking for one?? Is not that unreasonable! I think her post was very clear and polite. Some members have too much time to stalk others posts on here. Everyone speaks of this is an "adult" page and complain constantly about the young ones but continue to act immature themselves! I usually mind my business but people please GROW UP! That is all atm

My comment was my opinion, I have every doll made and not by trading them, but by being patient as they always show up in the store.  It was a general comment, and wasn't making personal remarks, but know that I understand your situation , I still stand behind my comment.  The fact that your small child doesn't grasp what "patience" is and that she is online as a small child looking at what comes out could play a factor in her not being patient.   I could provide a comment on my opinion of this as well but again will stick to what I originally said.  If you took my comment personally, then maybe you feel that I am right or you wouldn't have said anything.   Also making the comment that me sharing my opinion as to what motivates people I don't know has no ground, you shared a little about yourself and now I stand even more behind what I said.   I was stating this so people could be patience in not losing out on rare dolls or money if they just wait, nothing more, sorry you read more into that, as I wasn't trying to be rude.

Again don't disagree, but this site was meant for us to create contacts and friends so we can help each other get dolls we are looking for.  If this was the case, you would just offer this at cost + shipping, i was just stating that some rare dolls are worth more that 4 times this pack, so that isn't fair in my book.  Regardless if you paid 19.99 for it, you would be better off selling it on ebay, taking the money and buying other dolls plus this 3 pack. Good luck with the trade, was just stating my opinion, which this site supports us doing.

Ugh, you are exactly why people stay away from these boards. You don't know me, or my motivation, or one thing about my daughter - you read what you want to see into three sentences - and feel the need to give your opinion.
Bottom line is - the value of the items traded is only relevant to those doing the trading. If you were interested in trading, you should say so. If you aren't, you should keep scrolling by the post. Do you walk around a regular store commenting on what others are buying? I doubt it. There's no reason to bring down the positive tone of the post when you aren't even interested.
