I forget-- I know in the past unsold SDCC MH were sold on Matty Collector-- will this be the same with Weberella?

I was supposed to get one from someone going, and that fell through *grumble*

No way did they sell out in 15 mins. On Thursday the doll sold out by 10 am (exhibit hall opened at 9), and that was when the limit was 6 per person.

Same thing happened with Scarah/Hoodude. 6 limit, sold out in minutes according to many people.

Matty still had them.

I'm hoping they get her this year though i'm not sure i'll be able to do the whole, sitting and waiting thing again. It was crazy stressful last year. But i'm gonna try my best.

I reckon we don't have a chance in hell this year cos even if matty collectors does get them it'll be paid members club get first picks and whatever left (i doubt any) well be offered to the rest of us.

from what i'm reading on tumblr - there will be an online sale AFTER NYCC - since she will also be sold there.

It's so nice of Mattel to use SDCC as an opportunity to crap on their customer's heads and then laugh in their faces. How hard would it be to make a ton of the dolls to sell to everyone in line with a limit of one per person? I do know actually; not difficult at all.

Yeah, because they wouldn't be buying Webarella for the dolls, but rather $25 to Matty = $150 from eBay - enough quick profit to tempt even honest people into becoming part of the problem.

Only solution is to not give in, move on to something else and wait for Mattel to hopefully have a wide release one day.  If not...oh well. It's their loss. The fans are waiting with open wallets for a Wydowna at their retail price.

Forgive me for not knowing, but what is Matty Collector? Annoyed that SDCC dolls don't get a UK release if they are popular :(

Do you mean New York Toy Fair? That isn't being held til Oct. and they don't sell dolls there, just show reveals of new dolls.

In the past Matty Collector has sold SDCC Monster High dolls after SDCC was over, online. I tried this last year with Scarah, with no luck, I got locked out due to the volume of people trying to get on. But there were people from all over the world, that were lucky and able to get her. Not sure exactly how they're working it this year, but they may have early access for their paid subscription holders, (which you would of had to purchase prior to SDCC). If they do that, the dolls will most likely be gone before they get to the rest of the public.

No, they announced at the panel that Monster High would be coming to New York Comic Con for the first time this year - which is in October. New York Toy Fair - is in February, and that's the industry only one. Wydowna's supposed to be sold at NYCC and then on MattyCollector after.

A local store had her and posted on craigslist. I bit the bullett and picked up the last one today...thanks Abbinormal

New York Toy Fair is always held in Feb. - It's not to reveal per se of new toys, or new dolls, overall, it's to show "potential" new product, or updates to existing lines that are possible, to Toy Buyers from major stores. If the Toy Buyer likes an item and puts an order in for the line (say a Walmart Toy Buyer) then that toy line will be produced for Walmart and any other Store that wants that product... if the product gets no interest (like a toy line of 1920s silent Movie Stars figures) then the company producing the toy line will not go into production on the line and it's DOA.

Ya, I had the months mixed up in my head about the NYCC and Toy Fair, but thanks for the other info.
