News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

As you may remember from my last thread, all the MH webisodes are put directly on the website of one of our channels, and I go there from time to time and check. So today I found TWO new webisodes!

One is called "Monster Maze" and is here http://www.star.gr/tv/el/Pages/Starland.aspx?artId=81&artTitle=...

It is about a race in a maze, and whoever comes first will get their picture put on the newspaper. Cleo isn't interested at the beginning, but then she hears about the picture. The Werecats had been first, having passed through the maze in 30 minutes, and of course Cleo and Toralei fight for a bit. Then they go into the maze and Heath manages to burn their map, because of food, of course. Then they see Manny, and Lagoona comments on how he is supposed to be great in mazes since he is a Minotaur (oh Greek mythology, how I love thee), and they follow him, but classic Toralei tries to stop them. Then they find Manny crying in a corner, and he confesses that he got lost, and is ashamed because he is the only Minotaur to get lost in mazes. Then he is scared and runs through some walls, with the others following him and winning by one minute (they did 29 minutes) Spectra takes their picture, and Toralei gets trapped on a tree by the dogs that she let out herself.

The other is called "Monster Legacy" and is here http://www.star.gr/tv/el/Pages/Starland.aspx?artId=81&artTitle=...

This one is about the De Nile sisters. In the beginning, they are arguing about something, and Cleo accusing Nefera of having destroyed something of hers. Then they receive a phonecall and they argue about whom will answer it, but it is proven to be their grandmother, and none of them wants to answer after all (Nefera: "She had better not want to visit us"). Their grandma says that she will be coming to visit them (ha!), and she will give "her greatest treasure to the granddaughter that loves her the most" The De Nile sisters are, of course, excited, and begin arguing about who loves "their lovely grandma" the most (big change from some mere seconds before) Cleo makes her servants cook some (yummy looking) sweets, and Nefera uses an artifact to create a sandstorm (well, actually it is a swarm of locusts- thank you, Triumrivate!) that destroys all of them. Then Cleo tries to make some tree sculptures (topiaries- word provided by Designer Confederate!), but Nefera makes her servants build a "river" instead. Then Cleo makes a huge mural (their grandma's portrait?) and signs it, but Nefera laughs and draws on it. Afterwards, Cleo is carrying some vases (canopic vases- definition provided by Triumrivate!), and says that their grandma likes to collect them, but Nefera says "Do you know what else she likes? Bowling!" (lame joke) and makes Cleo fall, just when their grandma's ship arrives. Then their grandma appears, or, well, her eyes appear, and says that she will give her greatest treasure to Nefera. The greatest treasure is revealed to be a... dog which pretty much hates Nefera and chases her around, while Cleo can relax all she wants.

I have to be honest, I LOVED the second webisode. I love the De Nile sisters, and I love seeing them interact.

P.S.: Someone need to make a custom of that dog. My Nefera needs it.

EDIT: This has officially become the thread where I share all new webisodes I find and translate them ^^ Hope you enjoy them!

Seems lke volume 3 will be longer than we though, oh well, every days I miss more volume 2 type of episodes, when will we have volume 4?

Um, do not thank me, I did a lousy job! I called the canopic jars "vases" and the locusts "sandstorm"! (Good lord, why didn't I see that these were locusts??)

I also liked that Manny got some character development- finally!

Thanks for the links and the translations, Victoria.

They were both cute webisodes I thought. I love corn mazes and I'm also a Manny fan, so I thought it was cool that they did some character development there with him in that first one. Though, those hellhounds or whatever they were - kind of scary!

I loved all the Egyptian references in the second one. Nefera conjuring up a Bible style plague of locusts that eat up all the food, Cleo carrying around canopic jars (ewww - that's what her grandmother likes?). It was funny and the mummy dog was super cute.

Also, today another new webisode was uploaded, and it is here http://www.star.gr/tv/el/Pages/Starland.aspx?artId=81&artTitle=...

It is called "The First Kiss", and it is about Ghoulia's first kiss. It opens with Cleo telling Ghoulia (hello, Cleo's vanity!) that it is a very important day for her, and that Deuce told her that Slo Moe said that he will kiss her at their double date. She says that it is important for Ghoulia to be herself, and all will be well, but Ghoulia manages to make the two of them swap bodies by breaking an artifact (Cleo says that it was her father's) and releasing a curse. Then the boys ring the doorbell (love the fact that Deuce helps Slo Moe) and Cleo shouts at them to let themselves in, saying that they can't be seen like that. Then they go to the date, and Cleo finds out that she can't really speak zombie fluently. Ghoulia searches Cleo's bag to find something that can break the curse, and finds a papyrus with some instructions that Ghoulia finds silly, but they do it nonetheless. Later, Deuce tells Slo Moe that Ghoulia obviously likes him (he clearly hasn't seen Cleo-in-Ghoulia's-body elbowing him some seconds ago) and proposes that they kiss their girls at the same time, so that it is less akward. Cleo says that she knows how important the first kiss was for Ghoulia, but she doesn't finish her sentence because the boys grab them for the kiss. The girls manage to avoid the kisses, and in the end the boys kiss them on the cheeks, which causes them to swap bodies again, and Cleo blurting it all out in the end.

The De Nile webisode is still the best one out of these three.

That was a cute episode. Clearly Cleo needs to revise her freaky flaw to 'Unable to stop messing around with ancient cursed bric-a-brac'. Some great facial expressions on the ghouls as well.

I wonder if the English version will have Ghoulia's voice actress speaking normally, while Cleo's is forced to zombie moan.

These were really cute, despite me not understanding the words. So thank you for the links and summaries, Victoria!

You also called topiaries "tree sculptures" ;) (which they technically are)

In all fairness, "canopic jars", "topiaries", and "locusts" aren't words that are used overmuch. You did a great job! Just out of curiosity, what is Greek for "canopic jars"?

And thanks for sharing these and letting us know what was going on in them!

Also, I love the way they decided to portray the grandma, still in her fancy sarcophagus.

+@KraftyKitsune: Thank you both so much!

"Topiaries"...,I had absolutely no idea that there exists a word for the tree sculptures! :O We call them tree sculptures or garden sculptures in Greece, we don't have an exact word for them.

"Locusts" is a very well known word to me, I just didn't look carefully enough to see that these were bugs and not sand XD

The canopic jars are called, quite predictably, (I looked it up just now, wasn't sure- we don't use such definitions a lot!) "κανωπικά αγγεία" which translates "canopic jars" word by word. It is pronounced "canopikA agEEa" (with the g like in "great") ;)

And another episode in Greek. Dammt Greece, save some for the rest of us!

From what I can figure out, Cleo finds a rose in her locker and thinks its from Deuce. Deunce didn't put it there though, and gets pissed as he believes Clawd did it. Clawd denies it, the two agree to fight it out after school, and Frankie and Ghoulia try to figure out who really put the rose there. In the end the culprit is revealed to be... the rose itself, which is actually some kind of small plant monster who mistook Cleo's locker for his. He says something to Cleo and laughs at her, which seems to prompt Deuce and Clawd to make up and agree to beat him up together. Cleo is very impressed by this.

You are actually very correct! The title of the webisode is "Fight" (the noun, not the verb) Everything is exactly like you described it, and let me add some more:

When Cleo finds the rose, she says "I must have a secret fan!"- typical Cleo!- and loves that Deuce got protective over her, and when Frankie tells her that they will fight it out after school she has "Oh my, that's lovely!"

And in the end, the conversation between Cleo and the plant goes like this:

Cleo: "So... I don't have a secret fan?"

Plant: "Nah! Too tall, no leaves, and we can totally see your roots!" (Her feet)

Then Clawd says to Deuce "Hey... he just insulted your girlfriend!" so they agree to beat him up together.

And then Cleo concludes with "Three guys... fighting over ME? This is the best day ever!"

Even without undertstanding the language, you did a great job, Zombie Passer-By! Well done! :D

I am actually astonished that we of all people (well, countries) get the webisodes. It's not like anyone else can understand Greek apart from us Greeks D:

These episodes are now available on Youtube in Polish and Portuguese.

I think we are going to get another webisode in Greek soon too, because they are showing scenes from one in a commercial. It has to do with Ghoulia and Robecca- something like a virus that spreads through mobile phones? That makes people play a game in their phones like crazy, and Ghoulia and Robecca try to stop it? Something like that!
