I have not heard of any dolls being discontinued or having the potential to being discontinued. I know there are some hard to find dolls like Wave 1 Clawdeen and Wave 2 DotD, but none of the dolls have been discontinued as far as I know.

I'd hope not!

Some of them are hard to find as they are already. :(

I guess the comic-con releases could be considered discontinued since they were limited releases and only a certain amount were made?

When I went to local tru I asked them and they said they will olny sell the new dolls:(

I really hope none of the first waves get discontinued. I only like some of the girls in certian lines. The only Clawdeen I found I liked was First Wave.

well what tru ment was mostly like new new. 1600, skull shores, wave 2 basic, wave 2 DOTD. in time finding old MH wave 1 dotd, fashion packs, GB will most likely be at over stock stores like big lots. {which those dolls have been seen at even had club fashion packs}

Wave one Clawdeen with standard hands, not the clawed ones, is discontinued to my knowledge.

Untrue. I found quite a few of her with standard hands at a Wal-Mart. She's still out there with standard hands, but it's probably harder.

Overstock stores are a great place for finding MH dolls at reasonable prices. I've seen Deuce/Cleo, DOTD waves 1 and 2, Gloom Beach, the Day at the Maul dolls and the first wave of school fashion packs at stores like Big Lots, Marshalls, Ross and TJ Maxx.

Oooh. I didn't even think of checking the overstock stores like that! Good tip!

In my area of eastern MA the Burlington Coat Factory stores have piles of DotD Clawdeen, Cleo and Frankie, as well as Gloom Beach Jackson, all at half MSRP. A lot of them have boxes in poor shape, but if you just want the dolls, they're there.

basically any older versions of the dolls would be officially "discontinued" from Mattel (like First Wave basics, first wave packaging DotD, Gloom Beach)  Mattel only produces stuff for a season or year, and then moves on to the next thing.   With the Second Wave basics ("Schools Out")  any dolls not included in newer assortments would be "discontinued"  (The latest assortment seems to be Nefera, Operetta, SO CLeo, Toralei)

 Now this doesn't mean that stores don't have stock on older waves and previous dolls--- lots of big stores and chains have stuff in their warehouses, and some dolls sell faster than others in various locations-- so there's still chances to find older dolls.

...but Mattel isn't still manufacturing them.
