How can you tell if you have a wave 1 doll??? I think a do but I am not sure.

I think I have a few wave ones but I am not sure.  How can you tell?  Is it the date on the box?

Thanks... I though they had to be the first ones made or something. :)  soooooooooo even say the newer ones like Nefera...would be a wave 1 because of the diary and pet.  Thank you again. :)  Anne

wave 1 are the core 6 draculaura frankie clawdeen  lagoona cleo deuce

There are a few differences in the first issues of some of those dolls such as Wave 1 Basic Clawdeen, has regular hands.  Later issues of that same doll have claws for hands.

Also, first issue GB Jackson has a yin-yang tattoo on his back between his shoulder blades, while later issues may not have that tattoo.

I'm sure a lot of other collectors can list other differing details.  Maybe I'm alone and a stickler on this but any doll that comes with a pet and diary I consider at First Issue Basic Doll, not necessarily Wave 1, that would be similar to what  deDot11d7 stated.

Thank you for all the information.  :)   I also noticed how small Cleo's hands are compared to other dolls like Ghoulia for example.  A lot of the newer dolls other than Cleo have larger hands.  I also heard there are two different eye shapes for Spectra.  Round and slanted.  I am trying to learn the different styles (luv the info on GB Jackson(he is in box so I do not know)  Great Clawdeen info too.  Thank you.  I have tons to learn. :)

wave 1 is frankie, draculaura, clawdeen, cleo, lagoona, ghoulia, holt and deuce

also wave 1 holt comes in a box like wave 1 frankie, draculaura, etc.(no plastic on the wide side), but there is also a wave 2 holt that is the same except it comes in the later boxes like wave 2 abbey, spectra, etc.

In addition to Clawdeen's hands, there are also two different wave 1 Ghoulias with different materials used to make their hair

I was just curious to identify (frankie, duce and cleo set, ghoulia, and draculaura.) so far the boxes do not have the open plastic showing so I think I am good)  I did hear about the hands on Clawdeen.  It is very interesting the small detail changes on them.  :)  very thankful

Did Clawdeen's hair ever change color??  In early photos it looks like it's a lighter brown- which I love!!  It makes her look more wolf-y.

Original Clawdeen's hair had auburn and brown in it, that's probably why it looks lighter. :)
