News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

Just went to Walmart on my break and they had 2 Sirens and a Harpy add-on. I bought the Harpy, as I already had the Siren. They were $10.49

I forgot to mention, this was in Big Rapids Michigan.
Do any of the torsos match either one of them?

At the moment, no =( There isn't any torsos that match.  I think someone said Operetta is a close match to the Harpy.

Another close match to the harpy is the pink torso that comes in one of the design lab sets - I think it is the Mystic set.

Oh I'll have to try that. I have no torsos for my puma, ghost, harpy, or siren. why can't we make whole dolls? Ill pay the $2 extra for a torso and upper limbs.

I may have to check the Mystic set. We have quite a few of those around here in stores. I just painted a torso for my Puma boy. It was a very close match.  I used Apple Barrel paints for mine.  I cannot remember the exact color I used.  The name isn't on the bottle. Someone though said to use "Lilac Mist" and that is the closest match.  My store was out at the time, so I got the other color they had, that was the closest and a bit of white.

Hey that's a good idea. I have an extra boy torso too. Ill have to try that!

The mystic torso is VERY close - pretty much the exact shade of pink, but with a slight shimmer that the harpy doesn't have.

I can't remember, but does the mystic also come with upper arms and thighs?  Because, you will also need those parts to complete a harpy.

The mystic pack stupidly does NOT come with upper arms or thighs, even though the misleading packaging would trick one to think otherwise. So instead of being helpful, it is yet another thing we need parts for. Seriously, they can't even offer the necessary parts on their customer service website? bleh.

Great!  So Im going to have to either buy a ton of starter packs and just start paint matching again, or have one horribly mix-matched Siren, and a pile of Harpy parts.

My girls used the parts from their old/tired vampire and sea monster set.  The vampire (pink) parts match pretty well with the harpy, the sea monster parts (bluish/purplish) not matching so great with the siren, but not bad for "free".  I'm in agreement w/ everyone else on how Mattel should just add the needed parts to the packs, don't get it at all.  But if Mattel is still going to refuse to do that, AT LEAST keep better stock of those torso/limb sets that are now outrageously priced on the 2nd market.
