News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

I've just made my first wig, and it went surprisingly smoothly! There are a few minor gaps at the top and around the fringe, but I can fix those fairly easily. I like the poofiness of it, but I'm not sure yet if it goes well with the character I'm creating with this doll, so I might use some product to smooth it down more at the top. I'll probably take a curling wand to the bangs, too, to get them to curl inward more.

The wig was made with loose suri alpaca fibers. I followed this tutorial, with a bit of improvisation for the bangs and the part, and I made wefts beforehand with mod podge.

That turned out perfect it looks so good I wish I had the patience to make one

Thank you! It was actually much easier than I'd thought it would be, the only part that tried my patience was waiting for the glue to dry between steps lol!

I tried doing that once and I completely lost patience so I just rebooted the head lol with the wig I made looked like that though

your wig is gorgeous and thank you for posting the tutorial!  So excited to try this!

Thank you for the link!  I will try this myself with my next doll!

Looks great! I'm going to give it a go in a bit here too :)

Wow, that is gorgeous... I'm trying to decide if I want to reroot my Lagoona Blue doll, because her hair has that horrid greasy stuff in it. A wig might be even better. How long did it take? Would you mind posting any tutorials you used?
