Interesting concept, guess they were inspired by all those YouTube videos of wrecked garage sale dolls being rescued and given makeovers.

the cleaned up dolls are cute but will they actually end up looking like that?

the girls got a quick boil dunk.

I didn't do much more than a quick rinse for the curly hair as I didn't want to ruin their curls. The other two got a dunk and comb.

the gloop is very sticky when wet, it's gross.

But oh what a difference it makes.

cute! I want the purple hair girl but Id be worried about ruining her bangs when I boil clean it. I dont want them sticking out flat.

you could wrap an elastic band around her head or pour the water from above her. So long as you let the hair sit DOWN as it dries it shouldn't dry outward.

good tip, I'll try that! I mentioned it b/c I ruined a MH doll's bangs once doing the boil straightening thing, lol.

I'm reading online reviews, and, apparently, the HAIR is rooted VERY thinly. The customer pics DON'T look promising. ACK!

Secondly, I'm looking at the boxes, and the text REALLY makes girls seem STUPID, 'cause the text says things like, "OMG! My makeover is a MESS! Instead of looking on fleek, I look like a freak!" Well, okay, I made THAT up MYSELF, so it sounds REALLY extreme, but you get the idea. I WISH that the concept was just that these girls slept in their makeup, or something, and they are now in need of a fresh makeover, instead of seeming as though they haven't enough brains to do hair or makeup at ALL.

Maybe the Fail Fix girls need to go to The Wizard of OZ for BRAINS....and they should SKIP the makeovers. LOL!

Also, the term "Style Savior" sounds fetishistic, fanatical and extreme, evoking ideas of turning fashion into RELIGION (If I fix her style, will she eat eye shadow "wafers" and pray to me, chanting, "God is a Woman"? ROTFLOL!). Weird, wrong, and laughter-inspiring box text line for ME, anyway. Shouldn't a HUMAN "savior" at LEAST do something REALLY important, like breaking your fall, or getting you some water if you're half-conscious? Oh, well. I can do my own hair and makeup, so what do I know? ;)

This is all very disconcerting to me, seeing as how the brown-eyed blonde would be my favorite....IF she had enough freakin' HAIR! GRRR!

Waiting for them to go on clearance lol

Hi Wolfie,

I have 3 of these dolls I have bought second hand from a doll collector. I really like them. They are not thinly rooted. They are very cute little dolls. They have a good doll stand. And I adore their masks! I am delighted with them. I was waiting to buy one on clearance and I saw that fabulous deal. It was good because it saved me the time to "fix" their hair (I have enough dolls to fix from boot sales that I haven't dealt with yet! lol). I also did not have to unbox them and recycle the packaging! Perfect!

The only critic I have is that their outfits and accessories are a bit basic. Not very detailed but it does the job.

Remember that these dolls are aimed at children. That's probably why an essai about schopenhauer is not written on their boxes!!

Overhaul, I find them creative and quite unique. I know they will not last for very long so I am very pleased to have them.

Hello, Tula,

I'll keep that in mind. I may try to get the brown-eyed blonde, but I am currently a lot more interested in older Barbies to be quite so eager about the Fail Fix dolls.

lol lol lol

The horse looks like he is on drugs. The dog looks a bit drunk. They obviously enjoy parties!
