News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

I've heard a lot of people complaining about their dolls head having glue coming out of their heads and ruining the hair..

Apparently dolls that are made in Indonesia seem to have this problem.

Has anyone else had this problem and are there any tips on fixing this?

One of my dolls too seems to be leaking glue. Apparently using goof off 2 breaks the glue down allowing it to be washed off of the hair, sadly i'm in the uk and it seems to be an american brand so i haven't tried it myself but i've heard of someone having some success with it.

Ah well at least there seems to be a way to fix it. I really don't fancy having to re-root my dolls because of it. :| Thank you for the tip!

I think its only a temporary fix, i imagine the glue will keep leaking out until its all gone, but if you keep removing it from the hair, it'll get rid of it eventually. I don't like the idea of re-rooting either, hopefully eventually someone might discover a way to stop it permanently.

Actually there is a permanent solution. It's clean and clear deep cleansing face lotion. Just let its hair soak(striped or styled part out of way) and let dry over night if you get down to roots, it should be permanent. And it's sold EVEN IN THE UK

There's a facebook page about it with a ton of pictures!

could you show a picture of the bottle, I don't know what it looks like.

it's this

I wouldnt recommend using goof off on dolls hair it does take off glue and other substances however it leaves a VERY greasy feeling residue behind which you then have to take soap and water too which then leaves a strange sticky greasy feeling behind. Goof off is actually mainly used for people such as mechanics who have grease and other very hard to remove substances on their hands. The electronics store i worked at used to use it to remove the mounting adhesive from the camera display when they did switch outs.
