Any modded Howleen's out there? or Clawdeen from same pack..

Okay, so I got my Clawdeen/ Howleen two pack and like most of the curly haired dolls of  late, the hair looks like one big fuzz ball (think Operetta) Has anyone tried modding they're Howleen's or Clawdeen's hair? I'm thinking of straightening Clawdeen's hair at least and am really hoping it doesn't come out fuzzy. So if I brush out her hair (Clawdeen's) and then use heat to straighten it, will it not be fuzzy? I've tried straightening my DotD, Ghoulia's hair using very hot water and it only sort of worked...the hair is brushable but still comes across as puffy fuzz rather then like a doll with straight hair..I'm also curious what if anything have people done with Howleen's hair. If possible, feel free to show off your creations! Thanks

First, I think any heat source like a flat iron may melt the hair. I've not tried it before.
Second, I've tried to comb howleen's hair into a fro'hawk. Though it works and looks incredible, I believe I've angered the poofy overlord, cuz now her hair is bigger than before. Lol.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. If at all possible, test a heat source on extra hair you may have taken off of a doll to see if it melts.

Ha ha, oh I needed that this morning: the poofy overlord..hmmm I think I'll have to make a t-shirt for my poofy Ghoulia that says that!

Don't use straightening irons/curling tongs. The hair will melt and the irons will be ruined :(
Brush the hair straight as much as you can and dip in the just boiled water; could try pouring it over the doll as long as she's wrapped in a towel to cover the vinyl and protect her face, and make sure you don't scald your hands!
:)
I have to disagree with people saying not to use tongs or irons, i've usd tongs to straighten a couple of dolls hair and it didn't burn, you just need to be careful and test your irons/tongs on a strand of hair, i think it depends on how hot it gets which is why i use tongs and not my ghd's. Also if it's taking a while to straighten i turn my tongs off til they cools then on again because they can get too hot and thus burn the hair.

I straightened Clawdeens hair and it turned out lovely! Howleens is harder to straighten though, think because it's curled so tightly.

Here are some Howleens with their stock hair styled flat: Voila!

You could try messaging them and seeing how they did it.

I love the style that Howll got!  I want to do that for my Howleen!

I adore the Howleen with the wild hair!!! Gotta get my daughter's permission to try that, also thinking of straightening Clawdeen's hair, just easier to maintain it seems..Oh wait, I really love the fro too, now I can't decide!!!!

Wow these are all so awesome, I'm starting to really lean towards the fro, it seems so her and super funky. ONly someone with a lot of spunk could pull the big hair (fro) off like that.

Howleen: Ok loved everything about the doll itself, the outfit.....Not so much.  I liked the pattern and colors of the sock and dress top, but HATED with a burning all consuming passion the shoes, the dress skirt and the fact she only had 1 sock (what did Howleen eat the other one?)  Not to mention my 1 and only Clawdeen sock was messed up.  So I was thinking of making a custom of her.  Then it hit me.  Something about my original Clawdeen always bugged me (I think she is crosseyed maybe LOL). But I loved the Clawdeen that came with Howleen. So my New Clawdeen became my "Original" Clawdeen!  She got a shower and fixed her hair (it was smashed) and gave her a slight restyle.

Howleen:  I LOVE HER!  I did take her hair down and wash it because it was smooshed. But I thought the original style was cute so I put it back up with the exception of the "superman" curl. I alway took the "H" from her backpack and thought it would be a cute earring (when I was discovering my style I wore initial jewelry, and she has an "H" necklace). I put another hole for her safety pin. I painted her nails (When I was a kid I always had multicolored nails) and I took the blue ribbon off her shirt and made it into a belt. I took the blue ribbon off the hem of her shorts. Oh I was not trying to steal anyone's "pose" just trying to show her tiny nails.
