News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

Hello,

I just got Robecca today.

Her hair has a gap like either right in front of the goggles or under them.

I`m not sure if she is suppose to be like this, so i`m just clearing this all up.

Did I possibly get a doll that wasn`t fully rooted or do they do this for the goggles to sit better?

Thanks for the help~

Hiya; I saw a thread a little while back with someone asking the same thing about the legs, but yes, they're meant to be like that (who knows why, it's a little weird even if she is a robot).  I'm not sure about the hair though as I don't have the doll personally.  I know that the SDCC Scarah dolls have a hair gap like that under her hairpiece though so it might be intentional to help the accessory lay correctly?

That`s odd, it sort of upsets me, I mean if I ever wanted the goggles to come off there`d be this big bald spot/strip.

I guess her legs is normal, which is also odd, I can`t make her stand on her own. -facepalm-

Yeah, it's totally lame. :(

Looking around a little on the web I see people saying that Robecca's legs are an official design change for all dolls (I sure hope not!) or that her knee pegs were just put on backwards... weird.

my doll doesent have this problem i put her goggles on her face for a picture my girls hair isnt like this idk maybe mines the deffect lol

I boil washed my Robecca, and she doesn't have this problem

My Robecca has that too. For a solution I just pushed her hair back under her goggles. It makes it so you can't see the rooting problem and I think it looks prettier too.

As far as legs go, I think at the time they most all have that. Mine has it but not as bad as most I've seen, it can only bend forward about a bit over an inch and only if I try to make it do it.

I have a Robecca but she is still in the box, I'll open her and look, that does seem weird.

Yea mine had the gap ib the hair too, but her scalp is black, not the bronze color of her skin like the OP

I opened two Robeccas and one Penguin had a black jet pack, the other was copper. There seems to be a lot of weird variation among the dolls.

I think they just forgot to paint her head black before they rooted it and that is why it is so noticable
