News and Reviews of Monster High Dolls, Plush Toys, and More!

I consulted my husband on this as he would have the best advice in dealing with this since he is a web page programmer at a local computer company.  He said that he asked the CEO of their company about this and his response was that this type of fraud is a federal matter and that the FBI would get involved with it.  More than likely PalPal has already contacted them, but you can also report the fraud.  This is a federal crime and is taken quite seriously.

Check this site for more information on filing a claim: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

I wish all of you luck with this, and as most of you have pointed out in the forums, scamming with PayPal was a huge mistake.  I hope that everyone affected by this scammer comes out of this with their money refunded and a cheap lesson learned on the true definition of "buyer beware" and "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is."  I feel for all of you and I wanted to post this for you all to read so we can kick these kinds of people to the curb!

Though I don't necessarily think it's gone quite as far as the above comment makes it seem... since it seems like everyone who has filed a claim has had their money refunded by the seller rather than the seller just providing a tracking number or communicating with the buyer regarding shipping info.

GOOD~! :) Im glad something is being done!

Well, again, it may not have been a scam - rather a very badly handled, ill-prepared business attempt... the seller quite honestly could have figured that after all of this, it was more trouble than it was worth and packed it in.
If Paypal is now instantly refunding money, I think it's probably more in part to the fact that when they go to notify one of the first 2 email addresses, the email accounts have been closed, so their dispute/claim notifications are bouncing back to them.
If it was, in fact a scam, they clearly didn't understand or educate themselves on how Paypal works and will have put forth the effort for little if any profit, considering the amount of personal information required to create paypal and banking accounts.
I think the first is more likely.

So, did seriously not one person that ordered got their order?  Well im glad it was paypal and people were able to get their money back, but what a shame no one got their dolls.  :(

I would suggest going through and reading the other threads (links above) the top link contains pretty much the latest on the subject. I don't really think we require a 6th thread on the topic.

Not to be one to beat a dead horse but there has been no scam committed.  People on here basically had a witch hunt and panicked, I have never seen anything like it.  The store just opened, some of you that placed an order expected it to ship right away and didn't take into account the holidays and then filed a claim with paypal.  If it were me, I would have shut the store down and refunded everyone too.

Again, please see the other threads regarding this.
As has been explained multiple times:
For the majority of us it was not panicking about orders not shipping - it was the lack of communication from the seller regarding shipping information that prompted us to file disputes hoping to encourage answers.  When you send four or more emails inquiring about a tracking number and have the question completely ignored... if they had replied with "please allow X number of days for us to get sorted and send you one" or at the very least "due to the method of shipment there is no tracking number"...

Well, it sounds like a scam to me.  Either way, if you feel you were wronged, you can file a claim.  Just trying to help out my fellow MH enthusiasts.

I am just curious as to why it is a scam?  The store just opened.  You just placed an order.  Did you expect to receive what you ordered the next day?  If they didn't contact you right away does that mean they are stealing your money?  What sounds fishy to me is everyone who ordered and immediately filed a claim.  Why couldn't you wait?  Paypal gives you 45 days but if you were too antsy maybe those of you who couldn't wait should not have ordered there.
