1. Gigi. I've always had a thing for genies.....going all the way back to Barbara Eden on "I Dream of Genie".....LOL.
2. Gigi. I think they should've done something a bit more exotic with Twila.
3. ......meh.
4. Undecided. I'll have to see it in person to make up my mind.
5. I think so. I believe we as adult collectors sometimes lose sight of the fact that Mattel is making toys for little girls. This line is colorful and it has that storybook theme that will be appealing to kids.

Ohhh, that's tough, either Twyla or Freshie Lagoona.
2. Which character do you like better? Twila or Gigi?
Character or doll? I am guessing they mean doll, since we haven't seen the film and know almost nothing of their natures. (Although admittedly, on Mattel's media site they said Twyla protects normies from nightmares, so awwww!) I prefer Twyla for a few reasons. 1) She is small sized, and Howleen is the only character that size, so she will be more unusual. I like her soft pastels, and lavender/periwinkle skin tone. I do like the scorpion touches on Gigi, but she looks too goodie goodie genie and pink. I was hoping for more of dark genie/djinn.
3. Do you like how Monster High designed the clothes of the party scene dolls?
Eh, not exactly my style. I showed them to my 9 year old and she LOVES them though. Which is the point really. I mean, its a child's playline first and foremost. I do sort of like the Frankie doll for the blue streaks in her hair and gold stitches though.
4. What do you think about Lagoona's transformation?
I think she looks amazing as a doll. Vibrant and interesting. As much as I adore Lagoona, she has a samey quality on a lot of her dolls. Her clothes tend to be boring or just not so flattering, sadly. This doll mixes it up, and I like that!
5. What do you think about this line? Will it be successful?
Of course it will be, its Mattel and its MH. My daughter loves all of the dolls in this line pretty much, and I like most of them enough to purchase them. Interestingly, my daughter's least favourite doll was Gigi. Her favourites were: Twyla, Draculaura and Howleen.

Gigi, probably. I don't like the deluxe dolls or freshwater Lagoona, Howleen and Twyla are kinda... bleh. So Gigi.
2. Which character do you like better? Twila or Gigi?
Gigi. Twyla should have looked spookier.
3. Do you like how Monster High designed the clothes of the party scene dolls?
No. I guess that they are perfect for little children, the actual target group of MH, but they're not for me.
4. What do you think about Lagoona's transformation?
NO. Just no.
5. What do you think about this line? Will it be successful?
Yes, it probably will be. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the movie will be as awesome as Friday Night Frights, and that Twyla will get a great personality to balance her weird look.

Not really. They represent a 7 year old's idea of what "fancy" clothes look like. But this is ultimately a play line so it's fine.
4. What do you think about Lagoona's transformation?
I don't mind it. It's just for this line / movie. If it were a permanent change I'd be pretty unhappy. Plus it's giving us a completely unique Lagoona doll. I love when Mattel mixes things up and does the unexpected, and a fresh water Lagoona is very much unexpected.
5. What do you think about this line? Will it be successful?
I think it's really cool idea. Doing a genie-themed line and special gives Mattel an opportunity to try exciting new things with the established characters, and introduce some really unique new ones. And it looks like they're taking full advantage of that. Aside from the tacky party doll dresses I'm liking everything we've seen so far. I think it'll be very successful -- the party dolls will appeal to younger fans while the other dolls will reach us older fans. And everyone gets excited about new characters; we're getting two in 13 Wishes. I can't imagine this line not doing well. (All that said, aside from the Gigi doll, I'm not nearly as excited about this line as I was Scaris.)

1. I love Howleen in this line. Her DC doll was pretty underwhelming for me and this one is a big improvement. I love the colorful sort of 80s look she has
2. I'm going to have to say Twyla. I like Gigi and all but like a lot of others I was hoping for a creepier dijin look and she seems very underwhelming to me.
3. Eh, I really like Frankie but the other 2 just seem too much like their other dolls. I will have to see them in person.
4. I love the doll and I think it will be interesting story wise.

Lagoona
2. Which character do you like better? Twila or Gigi?
Gigi, though they have both growing on me since they were first revealed. I love Gigi's scorpion details mostly - I'm not all that into Genies or Bogeymen, so mostly I like their design and colors more than what they are.
3. Do you like how Monster High designed the clothes of the party scene dolls?
I do like the party clothes. Though, I'm waiting to see if there is going to be an exclusive Abbey (just a hunch). Otherwise, I'll get these for my kids, but I'm not impressed enough to get them for myself.
4. What do you think about Lagoona's transformation?
I love Lagoona's transformation and wish it was permanent.
5. What do you think about this line? Will it be successful
Everything MH makes is successful. It's not my favorite line, but it looks great and I will be buying the special.

Well I love both but if I had to just pick one twyla but I am totally buying both ;}

Yes I love frankie's the best but the other 2 are cool too!!!

yes (espec. love Frankie's gold detailing and the jewelry on all of them), but we'll be passing on those, we already have way too many Frankies, Clawdeens, and Dracs.
4. What do you think about Lagoona's transformation?
cool, but it really does bother me that technically speaking, freshwater coloring is generally more bland and saltwater has the intense bright colors. but super excited about them re-doing Lagoona's pet AND bowl! (and it looks like they are diff. colors too?!) my girls are ALL about the pets!
5. What do you think about this line? Will it be successful?
the whole genie concept has been done many x's before and kids ♥ it (i.e. hello... Disney's Aladdin?!), and this is MH, so yeah, it will be successful for sure

For now Twyla, Gigi is growing on me however.
2. Which character do you like better? Twila or Gigi?
Twyla. Like others have said I really would have wanted Gigi to be more of a dark djinn, the pink hair just isn't working for me.
3. Do you like how Monster High designed the clothes of the party scene dolls?
No, they're awful. Okay this is aimed for children sure but I thought they'd be more "arabian nights" themed, these just look like a little girls princess dresses.
4. What do you think about Lagoona's transformation?
Haven't made up my mind about it, I like the darker skintone but I'm not so sure about that hair.... And as said I find it weird that she turns out more colorful as freshwater than saltwater when in reality it's usually the other way around with fish.
5. What do you think about this line? Will it be successful?
Yeah, I can see little girls loving those party dolls and everyone loves new characters (and very unique ones like Lagoona)

1. Howleen. She's my favourite character by far, I love her with pink hair.
2. Twyla. I love her colouring and dust bunny pet. I do like Gigi, though. I just prefer Twyla.
3. A lot! I like how they combined clothes that are in fashion right now and added a Morrocan theme.
4. I think it looks very strange. I preferred her saltwater. But as long as she doesn't stay like that, then I'll have to wait to see the movie to give a real answer.
5. I love the whole idea of this line, and I love how the dolls look. And although the basic and deluxe waves don't really go together, they're both pretty in their own way. Plus Howleen is in this line, so I think it's brilliant. LOL :D

I love Gigi, I love that at first look she looks like just a pink genie, but when we look closer she is kind of an werescorpion :P And I love when the basic version of the ghouls have pants or shorts, I mean teenage girls wear more pants than skirts... And she is adorable and I lvoe another ghoul with freckles, now I want a boy with them! Twyla took a little time, but after knowing how she is much related to dreams and nightmares (something that I love), and after seeing she does have all her body that shade of her head, like how I wanted, and I like the teory of shadows trying to cover her, I like her much more. And her skirt is amazing, soo as her cute sneakers! I think I like each of them the same :)

Yes I love them a lot, amazing, and the golden jewerly is amazing, since dawn of the dance that I wanted a deluxe line to have metalic jewerly, I love it, it makes a doll soo precious. They look amazing, and If I wasn't a basic collector I would buy Frankie for sure. They are sooooo pretty! I mean I love things with glitter and shine :)

I think it will be a great lesson, I do not like soo much my loved Lagoona like that, she is missing her sporty, simple look, and I don't like her much with bangs, but the braid is very pretty and soo as her jewerly with turtles and dragonflies. I do like Lagoona much more as a saltwater, but since it is just for the movie, I'm fine with it, anyways it's like Frankie's black&white dolls, they are like special in a collection.

Yes it will, the movie sounds great, it is a line with story (and lines with story are the best selling ones), it has a big diversity of dolls, it has basic dolls, deluxe dolls, and playsets dolls. And it probably will have more dolls, I would love to see some budget ones, like how Spectra 13 wishes clothes are, with other characters, with luck a boy included.
